“夸张”的形容词就是“exaggerated” ，“That’s a bit exaggerated.”这种表达非常正式，适合书面表达及偏正式的场合。

A: Did you know I bought this t-shirt for 10000RMB?

你知道吗？我昨天买这件衬衫花了一万元人民币！

B: I think that’s a bit exaggerated. More like 10RMB.

我觉得太夸张了，这看起更像10元钱（能买到的衣服）。

That’s a bit much.

这有点太多了。

“That's a bit much”多用于某种数量超过一定正常的量，东西或事情过多而显得夸张。

?［例］：

A: For my boyfriend’s birthday, I bought him a cake, a laptop, a new iPhone and a shirt.

为了我男朋友的生日，我买给他一个蛋糕，一台新的笔记本电脑，新的苹果手机和一件衬衫。

B: Wow, that’s a bit much.

哇噻，这也太多了吧。（太夸张了。）

That’s a bit over the top.

这有点过头了。

OTT＝over the top

over 在..之上，the top最高点，连起来是超过了最高点。理解起来这个固定搭配就是表示太过分，太夸大的意思。外国人在社交聊天中经常输入的OOT也就是在表达：你太夸张了！

A: Last week my boyfriend broke up with me, and I haven’t eaten or slept or stopped crying ever since.

上一周我和我的男朋友分手了，然后我不想吃，不想睡，不停地哭。

B:That’s a bit over the top.

这有点过了。

That’s a bit out there.

这有点奇怪。

“That's a bit out there.”指某个地方或某个人的行为习惯等对于你而言完全不能适应，甚至不理解，以至于你觉得对方是过于夸张的。

?［例］：

A: Did you know in China they eat chicken’s feet?

你知道吗？在中国他们吃鸡的脚。

B: That’s a bit out there!

好夸张！

That’s insane!

不同于上面的四种表达，“That's insane.”一般是遇到或听到一件非常棒的事情，而觉得"太好了；太夸张了"。

A: I’ve got two tickets for Jay Chou’s concert here.

我得到了两张周杰伦的门票。

B: Wow, that’s insane!

哇，太好了！

That’s outrageous.

这真的是不可思议。

adi. 反常的；令人惊讶的

“That’s outrageous.”常形容一些违背常规到行为，而让人觉得反常和夸张到不可思议，难以置信。

A: Look! My parents got me a really expensive watch for my birthday.

看！我父母给了我一个非常贵的手表当作生日礼物。

B: Wow, that’s outrageous!

哇，太不可思议了！（好夸张）
